Intensive support from local company

Monkey Toe is a leading aluminium design and manufacturing company, headquartered in Normanby, Taranaki. They are also incredible supporters of community projects and have very generously committed to $250,000, to be gold supporters of the Rapid Relief Team ICU at Taranaki Base Hospital.

Starting in 2006 from very humble beginnings, Monkey Toe has grown into an organisation that employs 120 staff across four locations. The company has been long-term supporters of the Rapid Relief Team, and when the opportunity arose to support such an important local project, Monkey Toe founder and Director Tim Prestidge didn't hesitate.

"As a company, we believe in giving back to our communities. Our internal culture committee is tasked with supporting different charities across NZ." Says Tim Prestidge "All staff are given one 'paid day off’ each year to volunteer or work with a recognised NZ charity"

"When the opportunity to support RRT's sponsorship for the new ICU unit at the Taranaki Base Hospital expansion, we were very happy to contribute."

Monkey Toe is a business that supplies access and plant mounting systems across New Zealand, Australia, and the Pacific Islands. Their products range from simple ladders and walkways, to larger, more complex structures like the suspended Gantry system that will circumnavigate the new 'Te Kaka' stadium in Christchurch. They have now added lightweight 'flyable' bridges to their range of products, with these ending up in some very remote locations around New Zealand.

As an organisation, giving back to the community part of who they are. The company's mantra is "everything better" which applies to how they approach their work and their communities.

Supporting a great cause

As gold donors to the Taranaki Health Foundation and the Rapid Relief Team ICU, Monkey Toe are investing in the healthcare accessible to their staff, their families, and their communities. Their gift will help us provide enhancements to the brand new 18-bed ICU, which will improve the well-being of patients, carers, and staff for many years to come.
